Help us to develop our quality assurance and manufacturing systems for our new emissions free, smart home, heating and hot water system.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Quality and Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the setup and optimization of a low volume UK based production line for our zero-emission replacement to the gas combi-boiler. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001. Develop, write, and implement relevant quality management systems, with a focus on achieving ISO 9001 certification. This includes documentation, process mapping, and integration of quality standards across departments. -
Quality Assurance (QA) and Control:
Establish and enforce QA policies throughout the design, development, and manufacturing processes. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of QA practices, ensuring products meet both regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. -
Process Improvement and Troubleshooting:
Identify areas for process improvement in production, working with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Quickly respond to and resolve any manufacturing issues that may arise. -
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with regulatory and safety standards. Maintain relevant records of quality assessments, audits, and corrective actions. -
Testing and Validation:
Oversee the testing and validation of products to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. Develop and implement test protocols and quality checks during all stages of production. -
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to production and quality teams on best practices, ISO 9001 compliance, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or suitable alternative experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality engineering role, ideally within the electrical or electronics industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality management systems (QMS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot production issues efficiently.
